October is American Pharmacist Month. Here at Wellgistics, we’d like to say a big thank you to all the pharmacists out there that work hard to ensure the health of all! 

The American Pharmacist Association (APhA) was established in October 1952. It is the largest organization of pharmacists nationwide. To honor the hard work of pharmacists, the APhA made October American Pharmacist Month.  
 

American Pharmacist Month does more than recognize diligent workers. The APhA works to advocate for both pharmacists and their patients. The group also works to provide leadership opportunities for students. It is the only organization advancing the entire pharmacy profession.  
 

So how can you celebrate American Pharmacist Month?  
 

• The easiest way is to start by saying thank you. If you know someone who works in pharmaceuticals, be sure to acknowledge their hard work! Showing how grateful you are for the consistent results they produce can go a long way.  
   
• Shopping locally keeps family-owned businesses alive. It is an excellent way to support your community. Local pharmacists work to help their neighbor’s overcome illness and live healthier lives. If you’re not in need of any medicine at the time, visit their gift shop or stock up on first aid supplies.  
   
• And lastly, leave a review! Spreading positivity about independent pharmacies is so important to widespread health and care. Independent pharmacies care about their customers, their health, and their well-being. It’s important to show your gratitude and encourage others to spread the love!
